Humans and Non Human Worlds

Worked on a couple portraits recently, this first one is a study I was using to help demonstrate portrait painting to my wife Stephanie. It's from a snapshot she took of her sister. Stephanie still needs to finish hers, but I hate leaving projects sit half done, so I finished mine.

This is one I'm still working on, another painting of Bonnie whose face is just the most entertaining thing in the world to me. I had my cat in there at first, but it distracted from that smug sneer, so I deleted her.

Bonnie in progress.

These little figure studies on paper continue with Carolyne and Mandy.
Pregnant Women have the nicest hair, it's like a shampoo commercial.

I've also started working on the 50th World Challenge on CGHub so my computer painting skills don't get rusty.  Starting with a planet this week, and in the next several weeks exploring possible environments and alien creatures to populate this new world, Planet Kolorax.

Always amazing! I can't wait to see what Lovecraftian diabolicals slither over the surface of the new planet.
